Amplify the Stories of Others: Thoughts on #BlackLivesMatter

I am saddened, sickened, and filled with anger about the murder of George Floyd. Tragically, this is not an isolated incident. While I seek justice for Mr. Floyd, this is not enough. I advocate for human life.

This being said, as a white female, I do not feel it is the time to write an extensive blogpost about my thoughts. This is not about me. Regarding racism and the #BlackLivesMatter movement, I feel I have two important roles: to listen & learn, and to amplify the voices of those who have historically been silenced. As such, this blogpost is brief. The resources below have assisted my learning and must be heard. If you have additional learning opportunities for me and others, I encourage you to share them in the comments. This is by no means an exhaustive list, and I am continuing to learn.
